ST. PAUL, MN – The man charged in the hit-and-run accident that killed a 58-year-old woman was reportedly driving on a limited license, Pioneer Press reports.
The accident occurred near Rice Street and Pennsylvania just before 6:30 pm on February 16. 58-year-old Lisa Giguere was struck by a minivan and later died of her injuries at the hospital.
The driver of the minivan fled, but police were able to locate a suspect through surveillance footage and phone records. The suspect, 34-year-old Terrell Michael Frye of St. Paul, has been charged with criminal vehicular homicide in connection with the collision.
Now, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety reports that Frye was driving on a limited license after a previous conviction of driving after cancellation.
Frye first appeared in court on Monday, March 23. His bail was set at $50,000.
