Police Chase Ends in Rollover Crash in Northeast Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – A high-speed police chase in Northeast Minneapolis early last Thursday morning ended with the fleeing suspect’s vehicle veering off the road and overturning, Bring Me The News reports.

According to the Robbinsdale Police Department, the incident began on Victory Memorial Parkway around 1:45 am. Police saw the driver of a 2016 Infinity traveling at around 90 mph in a 20 mph zone. When a traffic stop was initiated, the driver fled.

The chase continued onto East River Road, eventually reaching the Minneapolis Water Treatment Plant at the 4300 block of Marshall Street Northeast, where the suspect veered off the road, and the vehicle rolled over.

The suspect, a 20-year-old Minneapolis man, was arrested and booked at Hennepin County Jail. He faces charges of fleeing, possession of stolen property, reckless driving, driving without a valid driver’s license, and speeding.
