SAUK CENTRE, MN – The box truck driver involved in the collision that took the life of a motorcyclist at a Highway 28 intersection last September has been charged with criminal vehicular homicide, KSTP reports.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 28 and Highway 71 around 9 am on September 25. The box truck driver, 33-year-old Ramon Jesus Garcia Rangel, allegedly ran a stop sign, striking and killing 63-year-old Todd Curtis Thorstad of Glenwood.
Rangel’s first court appearance is scheduled for April 20. He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
