SARTELL, MN – A traffic collision took out internet and phone coverage for parts of the Sartell community yesterday afternoon.
KNSI reports that the accident happened at 2nd Street South and CR-78 sometime before 1:50 p.m. on May 26.
A vehicle collided with a stoplight in the intersection, causing it to malfunction. Crews with the Sartell Public Safety Department were dispatched to fix the issue.
The crash also seems to have taken out telecommunications infrastructure. Community members reported internet and phone outages in the area, and the Sartell school district said its phone lines weren’t working.
We do not know how long it took to restore service or if anyone was hurt.
We will provide updates if they become available.
