ST. CLOUD, MN – A driver hit and killed a woman who was walking in the vicinity of St. Cloud Technical & Community College Monday afternoon.
KTSP reports that the fatal pedestrian accident happened in the 1800 block of 9th Avenue N at about 12:30 p.m. on May 18.
Authorities say that a 61-year-old motorist struck a woman who was walking in the northbound lanes of the street.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to St. Cloud Hospital, where she died. They have since identified her as Tammy Hamby, 57, of Sauk Rapids.
Police continue to investigate the accident.
