NOWTHEN, MN – An Edina man who allegedly caused a high-speed crash near Cleary Road NW in Nowthen last Friday is suspected to have been driving the under influence, The Watch MN reports.
According to authorities, the accident occurred Cleary Road NW and 189th Lane NW. Officers arrived on the scene to find a Toyota Tacoma had veered off the roadway and struck a stop sign and two trees before coming to a stop in a yard.
The driver, Eric Glendon Tangren, allegedly smelled of alcoholic and admitted to drinking prior to getting behind the wheel. Tangren failed field sobriety tests, and blew 0.23 in a breathalyzer test.
