MONTICELLO, MN – Emergency crews are on the scene of a semi truck crash that happened in the eastbound lanes of I-94 in Monticello earlier this morning.
KARE reports that the crash happened between exits 193 and 194 sometime prior to 7:20 a.m.
They say the semi collided with a guardrail. Footage from the scene shows the semi perched atop the concrete Jersey barrier surrounded by debris.
At least two fire trucks and an ambulance are on the scene. We do not know the number or nature of any injuries that resulted from the crash.
Traffic came to a standstill as police redirected drivers off the interstate. Commuters should avoid the area if at all possible.
