Injuries reported in left-turn crash on MN-24/179th St in Clearwater

CLEARWATER, MN – One person was injured this morning when a driver attempted a left-hand turn from MN-24 onto 179th Street, the Minnesota State Police report.

The two-vehicle crash happened today at about 5:40 a.m.

Responding police say a southbound Chevrolet Cruze hit a northbound Ford Freestar minivan that turned left in front of it.

The Cruze’s driver was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He has been identified as Benjamin Michael Bieniek, a 21-year-old resident of Holdingford, MN.

Wright County, Clearwater Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance also responded to the incident.
