EDEN PRAIRIE, MN – One person died, and another was hospitalized, in a wrong-way crash on Highway 212 last Saturday night, KROC reports.
According to authorities, the collision occurred near Valley View Road around 8:00 pm. 50-year-old Amanda Merriman was driving east in the westbound lane when she struck a westbound vehicle head-on near Valley View Road. The driver of that vehicle, 69-year-old Bohdan Antoniuk, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Merriman was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol suspects alcohol was a factor in the collision.
