ELK RIVER, MN – A teen girl was taken to the hospital yesterday after a semi truck hit her on US-10 in Elk River.
The Minnesota State Police say the accident happened at about 4:30 p.m. on May 28. A 16-year-old girl was driving a Mercedes GLK westbound when she was hit by a Peterbilt semi attempting to cross the highway from 165th Avenue.
Emergency responders took the girl to Allina Hospital, where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The 68-year-old man driving the Peterbilt was unhurt.
