Woman Accused Minneapolis Hit-and-Run Accused of Attempting to Conceal Damage

LNR General Accident 2

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The 22-year-old woman charged in the hit-and-run collision that killed a University of St. Thomas student is accused of attempting to conceal the damage using a vinyl wrap, the Patch reports.

The collision occurred on the 1600 block of Marshall Street NE around 3:00 am on March 22. Seham Hassen was waiting to cross the street when a speeding vehicle, allegedly driven by Gabryella Marie Liebgott, swerved toward the shoulder, striking and killing the 21-year-old student before fleeing.

Liebgott has been charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide in connection with the collision.

Now, authorities say Liebgott’s vehicle was located at an area repair shop where the suspect allegedly discussed having the vehicle wrapped in vinyl to mask the damage before the repairs were complete.

Bail has been set at $150,000 while Liebgott awaits further proceedings.
