NORTHFIELD, MN – A 60-year-old man was killed, and a teenager was injured, in a collision at a Highway 3 intersection on Tuesday morning, KROC reports.
According to authorities, the collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 3 and Dakota County Road 86 between Northfield and Farmington around 11:20 am. It involved a pickup truck and an SUV.
The pickup was traveling westbound on County Road 86 when it struck the SUV as it moved northbound down Highway 3.
The pickup driver, 60-year-old Duane Daniel Maag of Watertown, SD, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV, a 16-year-old boy from Farmington, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
